Larry K. Greenwalt, CPA

Managing Partner

Larry is the managing partner of the firm and specializes in several practice areas, including mergers and acquisitions, business structure planning, strategic business services, and serves on several of the firm’s industry teams. A native Hoosier, Larry was born and raised on a farm near Muncie, Indiana. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from Ball State University in 1965, joining Arthur Andersen & Co.’s Indianapolis office in that same year. He became a partner with Arthur Andersen in 1977, and joined Greenwalt Sponsel & Co., Inc. in 1980.

Larry is committed to an active leadership role within his profession and community. He is past President of the Indiana CPA Society, has served on its Future Issues Committee and has served as Chairman of the Society’s Management of Accounting Practice, Real Estate, Construction and Development, Auditing, Accounting and Technical Response and Governmental Agencies Committees. He has been an instructor in several of the Society’s continuing professional education courses. He has served as an AICPA Council member.

Larry was awarded the Indiana CPA Society’s Civic Achievement Award recognizing his outstanding leadership in our local business community and in 2001, was named the Outstanding CPA in Public Practice.

He is past President of Girls, Incorporated, past Chairman of the United Way of Central Indiana, Inc.’s Allocations Committee and member of the Board of Directors, and has served on several special United Way task forces. He was Treasurer and served on the Board of Directors of United Way of Indiana and the Financial Advisory Committee of the Patrick Henry Sullivan Museum. He is a former board member and past President of the Zionsville Town Board of Trustees, was a founding member of ZAADA (Zionsville Awareness - Alcohol & Drug Abuse, Inc.), a local community education group, and Miracle on Main Street Part II. He served as Chairman of the Zionsville Capital Facilities Plan Committee and is the President of the Zionsville Public Library Leasing Corporation. Larry has served three terms as a member of the Board of Directors of CPA Associates International, Inc. is the past Chairman of its Practice Management Committee, Past Chairman of the Board, serves on its Professional Issues Committee, and is serving as the Chairman of the nominating and Strategic Planning Committees.
