Jason S. Thompson, CPA/ABV, ASA, CFE

Jason graduated in December 1994 from Indiana University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting. Jason was promoted to audit manager in July 2001 and in the summer of 2002, Jason transferred to the Business Valuation and Litigation Services group (BVLSG) of GS&Co. Jason’s current focus is in consulting services.

Jason is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), member of the American Institute of Public Accountants (AICPA) and Indiana CPA Society (ICPAS). He has an Accreditation in Business Valuation (ABV) from the AICPA and is an Accredited Senior Appraiser (ASA) of the American Society of Appraisers and a member of the Institute of Business Appraisers. Jason is also a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE). This certification is given by the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, “the world’s premier organization dedicated to providing anti-fraud training and education.”

Jason has experience in a variety of different industries including manufacturing and distribution, construction, professional services, not-for-profit and retail. He has in-depth experience with business valuation, forensic and fraud investigative accounting, auditing and accounting services, tax compliance and planning and other consulting services.

He is a volunteer board member of Reach for Youth, Inc. a not-for-profit organization aimed at strengthening youth and their families. He is the treasurer and a volunteer outreach committee member of Families Moving Forward, a family law resource group. He is also a National Editorial Board member for PDI Global’s “Viewpoint on Value” valuation newsletter. Jason also serves as a committee member for the CPA Associates International business valuation committee and is a past member of their litigation services committee.
